Thanks to all the supportive families at Lord Kitchener, our direct appeal drive is zooming along. We will be discussing the Wish List in our next PAC meeting on November 2, please bring your ideas to the table or join us to find out how your generous donations will be used for the betterment of our students and school. For parents who would still like to support our fundrasing, the cut off date is October 21st. A cheque can be dropped off in the school office or payment can be made through PayPal. A tax receipt will be issued for your donations of $25 or more.

On behalf of the Lord Kitchener PAC, teachers and administration, I would like to thank you for your generous support last year. Your donation played an integral part in supporting program enrichment. PAC resources provide teachers with additional tools that enhance the educational experiences of your children.

Direct appeal has been successful in funding programs which are not supported by the Vancouver School Board budget, but are essential to building community within the school and providing enrichment to the core academic curriculum. The programs supported include sports and drama clubs, Science Alive for all the Grades 1 through 7, equipment for arts and physical education, library books and shelving. Learning technologies such as classroom Smart Boards and computer connected microscopes are fully funded by Direct Appeal as well. These items are just some of the successful initiatives provided for in the past year.

We hope to continue the Kitchener tradition of generosity and support. Your donation of $125 or more per child will help us achieve that goal. Your donation will be applied toward the immediate needs and programs for THIS school year. A tax receipt is provided for donations of $25 or more. Our goal is to raise $40,000.

Our school programs aim to provide your children with a well rounded school experience; the experiences and memories your children will carry with them for years to come. The direct appeal fund is a great way to support your school and whatever contribution you would provide will be much appreciated.

This year your donation can be made by cheque (payable to Lord Kitchener PAC) or by secure online payment through PayPal. Please submit your cheque in the PAC envelope provided if you choose not to pay online. Please submit your donation by October 21, 2011.
