Every year the Lord Kitchener Elementary PAC awards a $500 cash award to a grade 12 graduate who attended Kitchener Elementary. Applicants are evaluated equally on four areas: academic excellence, school community involvement, neighbourhood community involvement and a written submission. The written submission is the basis for a speech that the winner presents at Kitchener’s year-end awards assembly to inspire our grade 7 students as they embark on their own high school careers. Each year a committee of parents and a grade 7 teacher is formed to evaluate the applications and choose the best candidate.
If you know of any former Kitchener students who are currently in grade 12, please draw their attention to this award and encourage them to apply.

The applications must be submitted to the office at Lord Kitchener no later than 3:00 pm on Friday, May 28, 2010. The assembly at which the successful applicant will address the graduating Grade 7’s is on Monday, June 28, 2010 (10:15 - 12:45).
