Parent Advisory Council (PAC) Meeting

November 4, 2009

This Wednesday’s PAC meeting will include a presentation by the VSB Directors of Planning and Initiatives, who are our Liaisons with the VSB Facilities Department. They would like to have the opportunity to update the parent community about the timeline we are on and our progress to date. Below is the agenda for the PAC meeting, and an information pamphlet, Kitchener Project Seismic Update (pdf) that, while in draft form, gives some idea of the tentative plans so far. All parents are welcome to attend.

(Child minding will be available, but as we are expecting a larger than usual number of parents, if at all possible, please leave your children in the care of someone at home.)

A representative from the VSB will talk about the Kitchener Seismic Upgrade and will cover the following topics:

1) preferred site location

2) VSB “21st Century School” design principles

3) size allocations/proximity of spaces by use

4) stakeholder engagement process, timelines and development permit
